Bedding For Hamsters.

Woodshaving is the most common bedding for hamsters. But certain types of woodshaving are pine/cedar which is really bad for health for your hamsters! Although other types of woodshaving are not pine- therefore suitable for hamsters. I dont recommend saw dust. because it has alot smaller pieces than woodshaving- and alot more chance of saw dust getting caught in your hamsters eye. The most popular bedding in breeders, is shredded paper. if you do decide to use shredded paper then please make sure that the ink on the paper is non-toxic! please do not use shredded newspaper as the ink maybe toxic and is not worth the risk of trying it! another good bedding is 'carefresh' Carefresh Website. which is ment to be crushed egg carton. which is 100% safe you can also get coloured carefresh available from here: Multi-Coloured Carefresh  which is expensive and doesn't last long. But is really good quality and i quite like Carefresh but is too expensive for me as it just doesnt last long. Carefresh is the leading brand in the USA as it is cheap and Americans really like this bedding etc. you can also make your own carefresh like this: Homemade Carefresh (Video) another brand is Aspen bedding which is again popular in the USA.
